Spurring Innovation, Training Talent——Hanwha SolarOne Donates Existing SJTU District R&D Center to Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Shanghai, China, May 7, 2012—On May 4, 2012, Hanwha SolarOne announced that it has donated its existing SJTU District R&D Center to Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Hanwha SolarOne R&D Center Vice President Dr. Zhao Tongrong, Chairman of Shanghai Solar Energy Society and Director of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Institute of Solar Energy Professor Shen Wenzhong, and other relevant officials were present at the signing ceremony held at SJTU’s Minhang Campus.
Hanwha SolarOne’s donation of its existing SJTU District R&D Center, including its solar cell process equipment and original materials, is worth a total of RMB 3.8 million. Hanwha SolarOne is also supplying SJTU teachers and students with equipment, facilities, and materials for PV technology research and scientific study in order to provide support and security for industry innovation, talent training, and cutting-edge technology R&D.
