Hanwha SolarOne Supplies 8.2 MWp to PV Park in Germany
AIC Projects successfully completes one of the largest PV parks in Southern Bavaria
[Ismaning, October 24, 2013] Hanwha SolarOne, a global provider of total photovoltaic (PV) solar solutions and a flagship company of the top-10 Korean business enterprise Hanwha Group, has supplied 8.2 MWp of PV modules to the Schlechtenberg solar park in Germany. The park, developed by AIC Projects GmbH, was inaugurated in September.
The solar park is integrated well into the Allgaeu landscape in a rural area near Sulzberg, close to highway A7. Due to the moist conditions of the moor-like landscape around Schlechtenberg, the area is not well-suited for agricultural activity, but is a good fit for solar energy generation. With more than 33,000 modules installed, the solar park is expected to generate 9.84 million kWh annually, thereby covering the electricity demand of 2,000 households.

Streamlined processes and high quality products
AIC Projects develops and operates solar parks around the world. The company developed the Schlechtenberg park on behalf of a private investor, who has initiated five additional solar parks built in the Allgäu region in Bavaria. Several of the projects have been open to citizen co-financing. AIC Projects will oversee operating and maintenance of the park on behalf of the client.
